I wanted to post this because I’ve been listening to it all day, and for some reason the phrase “tell me did you know/this love would burn so yellow” causes me to pause every single time I hear it. Yellow has such a strong visual feeling to it, and in the context of this song, that line stands out as something very poignant. The extended supernova metaphor makes my heart do strange things.
I love Janelle Monáe, by the way. She’s a big hero.
